Welcome to Casa Varo, the Temple of Tuna in Vejer

Welcome to our Restaurant-Bar, a gastronomic meeting point with local products made under a private kitchen, in one of the most touristic and interesting areas of the Old Town of Vejer de la Frontera.

It is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the vejeriega essence that so much visitor likes, while enjoying on its wide terrace of dishes during lunch or dinner, some tapas with friends, a coffee in the after-dinner after a walk or a few drinks during the night.

Tuna from Almadraba

It is a millenary fishing technique already used by the Phoenicians, purely artisanal and respectful with the species, which consists of the capture of bluefin tuna on its way to spawning from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea, with the use of underwater net trusses.

In Casa Varo we offer you to taste the best pieces in many of the culinary preparations that exist.

Are you going to miss it?

Our Kitchen

Casa Varo combines the traditional Mediterranean cuisine with Asian nuances based on the products of the area, mainly the wild red tuna of almadraba and the Iberian and retinto meats. Also within our extensive menu, there is room for other types of fish and meat, which can always be accompanied by our wine list of the land.
